Many people have searched all their lives looking for something that would change them forever!  Some, like the old
song “looking for love in all the wrong places, looking for love in all the wrong faces” have searched the world over to
find true love but have Returned from that search in worse condition then they left.  There have been those that have
spent much money on material possessions hoping that the void in their lives would finally be filled, but in the end when
the newness was gone and repairs had to be made and as they stood back to survey the mess, they realized that the
dark empty void was never really gone but only lurking in the corner waiting to resurface.

I have been in those places looking, searching always coming up empty and feeling worse then I began. Then one day
when I meet a man by the name of Jesus and my life was changed forever!  You may be saying, ‘I’ve heard that before
and I don’t see how that can happen.’  Let me tell you something about myself, I grew up on the south side of Chicago,
Ill. My father ran with gangs, thieves, murders, prostitutes, drug users, drug dealers. You name it I’ve been around it.  I
was well on my way to becoming just like my father’s friends.  Until that day when I meet up with Jesus, and He took
every burden and every care I was shouldering off my beaten back and placed, not just on me but in me, His love and
His peace.  When I traded my burden for His cross my life began to change.  It wasn’t a bed of roses, but it began to get
better; the more control of my life I gave Him the more stable it became.

Walking by God’s word has given me a new lease on life, no longer controlled by mayhem and disgrace, but now living
a life full of hope, joy, peace and love. My void was killing me day after day, until I let Jesus shine His light into my dark
and empty existence, forever to be changed!

This may have sounded like a fairy tale but it is true!  Only Jesus can give us hope in our hopeless situations.  The
Bible says, “He will never leave us nor forsake us” and that’s a promise He will never break!

You can have this hope, joy, peace and love in your life also. It’s real simple, let me show you how.  If you’re ready for a
life changing experience this is all you have to do to get started:  Ask God to forgive you of all your sins (sin is any thing
that goes against God’s word). Believe that Jesus came to earth, died for your sins and rose again on the third day,
Confess with your mouth that you have been forgiven.  It sounds simple, because it is!  

Now find a good Bible believing, preaching, teaching church, submit to the leadership and watch your life begin to
change!
